
Our Psychiatrist and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners provide psychiatric evaluation and medication management. You will see one of our understanding psychiatrists and nurse practitioners to get your medication; we will also evaluate your prescription on a regular basis when you come in for a checkup.
Psychiatric Medication Management Services are provided by Board Certified Psychiatrists, Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioners, and Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, under the direct supervision of a Psychiatrist. Psychiatric Medication Management is an integrative service to determine the individual appropriateness of medication to treat and alleviate the symptoms of many mental health disorders. Medication management is often recommended to accompany counseling services, as medication may make it easier for individuals to focus on the therapeutic aspects of treatment.
All individuals, 11 years of age and older, who are new or returning patients for medication management services, will be required to provide a urine drug screening at their intake appointment. Additionally, urine drug screenings are required for all patients, 11 years of age and older, who are currently receiving prescriptions for controlled substances. Urine drug screenings not only increase the safety of prescribing medications by preventing dangerous medical complications and substance interactions, they also monitor medication adherence, help prevent misdiagnosis, and assists the healthcare provider asses the efficacy of the treatment plan and current level of care.
